At first I was kind of sceptical; a bunch of rich ass “artists” performing to “start make poverty history”, really to make themselves feel better. But I have to say, I was very much genuinely touched at times.

I heart Live8 !

There I said it. Although I don’t think that all artists were there for the right reasons, the overall feel wasl very sincere. There is no truly altruistic deed in the world anyway, so I shan’t criticise Live8 any more than I already have.

My favourite performances (from the ones I’ve seen): Annie Lennox, The Who, Snoop Dogg , Madonna , The Killers, Robbie Williams, Kanye West.

Goddamn sorry I missed Placebo, Shakira, A-ha, Faithless, Dido, Scissor Sisters, Stereophonics, Coldplay, Duran Duran, Alicia Keys, Dave Matthews Band and Maroon5.

By the way, was anyone else really annoyed by Destiny’s Child? WTF, why don’t you just play the fucking CD and let Beyonce shut her pie hole. I’ve become very anti-Destiny’s Child the last few years.

What is up with that Beyonce bitch anyway? I don’t get the appeal.

Sigh.

Have a nice day !
